Mental Health Awareness First Aid – Introductory Course

Join us for an introductory course designed to increase mental health awareness and give an understanding of how to look after wellbeing and challenge stigma.

When you complete your course you will get a certificate of attendance and a
manual to keep and refer to whenever you need it.

How will attending an MHFA England course help?

Research and evaluation shows that taking part in an MHFA England course:

−Raises awareness and mental health literacy
− Reduces stigma around mental ill health
− Boosts knowledge and confidence in dealing with mental health issues
− Promotes early intervention which enables recovery

This course is normally £40 per person, however, in recognition of National Stress Awareness Day on the 3rd of November, we are running this free of charge. There are however limited places on this course, as such we ask for a deposit of £10 to secure your place (please note that processing fees are non refundable).  This will be returned once the course has been completed.

Some recent feedback about our course leaders  Sept 2020

Excellent teacher, calm, non judgmental, knowledgable . Really enjoyed overall.
The course was delivered exceptionally well considering it was via a virtual/zoom delivery because of the restrictions in place due to Covid.

Fantastic course, very insightful and lots of excellent information to take away from it for future reference

Very insightful course, lots of detailed information and useful practical applications. Zena and Karen were very friendly and provided excellent explanations within each session.

Great course leaders and checked on our individual wellbeing throughout the course too. Answered all of our questions really well and each session was very insightful. I’m excited to be part of such a vital supportive community and I believe everyone should be trained on basic MHFA skills. Thank you once again
