How does it make you feel…?
As former chair of the climate change partnership, I have spoken with a lot of people about climate change. Beneath the science and the politics is a highly emotional subject. I feel this as a song writer as well: it’s theme I keep coming back to.
In this event for the Reading Climate Festival, I will be joined by Fiona Talkington (from BBC Radio 3), and we will be looking forward to speaking to some fellow musicians from Reading’s excellent music scene. We want to talk about how it makes us feel. We will listen to some original music. And we will pick up on how we can help energise Climate Action in our town.
A MUSICIAN? WANT TO SIGN UP? READ ON!
It’s been a heavy year but I’m hoping there’s something positive to look forward to in November. We’re launching the new Reading Climate Emergency Strategy with mini on-line festival. I’m hosting an event as part of this, where I want to talk to Reading musicians about the links between climate change, emotion and music. If you can help spread the word…and share songs, that would be amazing.
The event is called ‘How does it make you feel…?’.
